My name is Amelia Cypert;
I am a 28-year-old woman from West Bloomfield, Michigan. Because
of hydrocephalus and mild cerebral palsy since birth, I have been
unable to find work, though I am a college graduate and spend
much of my time at home writing. My strongest aspiration is to
become a recognized author one day, and I try to improve myself
through reading and writing, which have always meant everything
to me. Poetry is one of my favorite styles of writing, though
I enthusiastically attempt fiction and nonfiction prose as well.
Through an exploration of my spirituality as I faced a lifetime
of hospitalizations and medical procedures, Buddhism has been
a wonderful comfort. I have the deepest respect for the Buddhist
culture and lifestyle.
